WHAT IS PODBEAN?
Podbean was first introduced in 2006 as a platform that was “blog-like” and targeted at assisting podcasters in producing content. Since then, it has developed into a modern platform and app that provide all the tools required to take your podcast from conception through distribution and beyond.
There is “no learning curve” to using the software, according to Podbean, which takes pleasure in its usability. Podbean is a podcasting machine that offers production, distribution, monetization, administration, and promotion capabilities, making it more than just a straightforward podcast hosting service. It should come as no surprise that it is employed by more than 600,000 podcasters worldwide, contributing to the creation of 12 million episodes and generating 9.8 billion downloads to date.
ADVANTAGES OF PODBEAN
Unlimited Audio and Video Hosting at an affordable price
There are no download restrictions, episode length restrictions, or recording time restrictions on Podbean (other than on the free, basic plan). All this at a fair monthly cost.
Easy to use
As we suggested previously, Podbean is designed to be simple to use. There are no difficult learning curves, clumsy interfaces, or unclear procedures.
Video podcasting
Though not many podcasters have dabbled in video, having the option is usually a big plus and lets you cover all your bases. Unlike many of its rivals, Podbean offers video podcasting.
Audio live streaming
Live streaming is a very useful tool for establishing a more unique and dynamic connection with your audience. You may give a more unpolished, uncut version of your podcast and share information with your listeners in real-time. Additionally, this is an excellent opportunity to provide your paying customers, or “Patron,” with unique material.
Remote recording
With the help of the Live Stream function in the mobile app from Podbean, you can record remotely with up to 7 co-hosts or guests while also personalizing your recording and live mixing music as you go (more on this later). Your session will automatically be recorded both locally and in the cloud and made available to you.
Edit your podcast
Software for hosting, editing, and recording may all be done together. Use Podbean to record your podcast, and then in post-production, make it ready for release. Once you’ve removed any extraneous material, combined your recordings with your intro or outro, added music and effects, and are satisfied with the result, publish or export the work.
Automated transcription and closed captions
Recently, Podbean introduced a function for automatic transcription that creates closed captions and a transcript for your recording. Any podcasters with a premium Podbean plan can use this functionality.
Please take note that using this service is not free. Podbean bills $0.20 each minute. A 60-minute podcast recording can take up to 40 minutes to create your transcript, so it’s not a quick tool.
